AA President Stephen D. Raimo must completed a new plant for Sewing Machine Co. in Syosset, N. Y. Designed by Fordyce & Hamby, the structure's clean, low lines easily with its semi-rural setting.
Sonja Henriksen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Henriksen, Chicago, was married to Robert Segar, on Saturday, September 30th, in La Grange.
The Institute of Masonry Research, Baltimore, Md., reports that plans are now in progress for their second annual Silver Award Meeting co-sponsored with the Baltimore Chapter of the A.I.A.
K. M. Banie, formerly product sales representative has been appointed to the position of Farm Equipment Consultant of International Harvester Co., according to R. W. Dibble, Manager Farm Equipment Sales. Mr. Banie succeeds Clarence Mertz, who retired after more than 44 years of service with International Harvester.
Lull Engineering Co., Inc. has recently announced the appointment of Robert J. Dorwin as President and General Sales Manager. Mr. Dorwin has joined Lull after sixteen years with the Oliver Corporation where he served in various sales capacities.
St. Louis Chapter Treasurer Herman Stocker is reported ill and all wish him a speedy recovery.
The Masonry Institute of Washington, D. C., has joined with SCPI in constructing a cut-away full-size family fallout shelter on the second floor of the National Housing Center. Member N. Litterio did the masonry work with N. W. Cushwa supplying the materials.
Members of the Cook County Chapter on Friday, October 6th, enjoyed a "Day At The Track" as guests of the Carey Brick Co. The event was held at Hawthorne Race Track in Stickney, III.
