AURORA, Illinois, October 13, 2022: SOLA received a Pro Tool Innovation Award for the BIG REDM spirit levels with lateral magnet installation in the hand tools category. For the TLM2 deep hole marker SOLA was recognized as a Finalist in the Pro Tool Innovation Awards.

Gathering a diverse team of judges, including contractors, construction business owners, tradesmen, and media professionals, the votes were counted for the most innovative construction and outdoor power equipment industry products in the world. Judging the 10th annual PTIA Awards exposed revealed an amazing array of truly innovative power and hand tools, tool accessories, fasteners, and other products submitted by many of the top manufacturers in the industry. Here's what the Pro Tool Innovation Awards judges had to say about the BIG REDM magnetic spirit levels

"SOLA made a big improvement to magnetic levels by reimagining the magnets’ installation. Going in laterally instead of installing through the bottom, the base has an uninterrupted surface. It’s easier to clean off metal shavings that stick to the magnets and doesn’t produce build-up around the magnet seams the way other levels can. At the end of the day, you can work more accurately with less risk of damaging finished workpieces."

This year, 99 different manufacturers and brands submitted over 465 products in dozens of categories for a chance to take home a 2022 Pro Tool Innovation Award. After countless hours of considering the most innovative power tools, hand tools, fasteners, products, and accessories on the market, the PTIA judges eventually chose winners based on a combination of key factors. Products won based on their ability to demonstrate either innovative features, advanced power delivery, groundbreaking ergonomics, technological advancements, advancements in jobsite safety, or above-average value. The 2022 Pro Tool Innovation Award winners represent the companies and products driving progress and advancement in the construction, landscaping, and manufacturing industries. They deserve recognition for having best-in-class products that truly drive the industry forward.

"Any product can undergo incremental changes. Pro Tool Innovation Award winners tend to buck trends and bring much more to the table," said Kenny Koehler, editor-in-chief. "They really deserve the recognition they get. We feel that business owners, builders, contractors, and tradespeople can look to PTIA Award-winners to locate the products that can increase productivity, help them make more money, and increase safety on the jobsite."

The annual Pro Tool Innovation Awards (PTIA) began in 2013 and are judged by a panel of professional tradesmen and trade media representatives in the electrical, plumbing, MRO, and concrete fields as well as landscaping professionals, general contractors, mechanics, and builders. The Pro Tool Innovation Awards seek to discover and recognize the most innovative tools, accessories, and products across a wide variety of industries and categories.
