David Barnes

Vice President Houston Division Manager

As a third-generation leader in this family owned business, David Barnes grew up on job sites. He began his career in 1992, working on the Providence Tower in Dallas as flagman for a crane operator. He received his Bachelor’s in Industrial Technology from Texas A&M Commerce in 2000.

David learned the trades as a bricklayer, stone mason and certified welder working for DBI in Dallas. He moved to Houston in 2013 as VP Project Manager on the 385-acre Houston Exxon Campus. Today, he oversees operations for the Houston Division of DBI, reporting directly to President & CEO Rob Barnes.
