Announcement of 2014-2015 MCA Board

Words: David GillickElection results for the 2014-2015 Board of the Mason Contractors Association of St. Louis were recently announced.

Thomas L. McDonnell, President of George McDonnell and Sons Tuckpointing Company, was elected President of the Association. McDonnell's company was established in 1933 and has performed caulking on such well-known area projects as the new Busch Stadium, Metro Link Garage and SSM St. Clare Hospital.

Other officers elected are Richard K. Swanson (Swanson Masonry, Inc.) as Vice President, John J. Jahnsen (Johnsen Masonry Construction, Inc.) as Secretary, and Martin Heck, Jr. (Martin Heck Brick Contracting Company) as Treasurer.

Trustees elected are Gary Beirith (Beirith Masonry, L.L.C.), Daniel Dwyer (E.C. Landers Brickwork, Inc.), Bradley C. Grant (Grant Contracting Company, Inc.), Luke Siebert (Heitkamp Masonry, Inc.), and Brian Smith (John J. Smith Masonry Company).

Arbitration Board members are Richard F. Frisch, Jr., (Frisch Masonry, Inc.), Brian J. Grant (Grant Contracting Company, Inc.), Jeffrey D. Schmidt (JDS Masonry, Inc.), John J. Smith, Jr. (John J. Smith Masonry Company) and Kenneth Westhoff (Leonard Masonry, Inc.).

The Mason Contractors Association of St. Louis, which was chartered in March 1896, is one of St. Louis' oldest trade organizations. Its members includes owners of contracting companies, along with businesses that supply the masonry industry, as well as the firms that serve its financial, legal and insurance needs.
