NCCER Testifies to California Legislature

Words: Jennifer WilkersonTim Johnson, senior director of government affairs for NCCER, testified to the California legislature to promote training opportunities for all through Assembly Bill 2288.

The bill is designed to recruit more women into the construction industry. At the hearing, Johnson asked the legislature to amend AB2288 to include and allow utilization of NCCER's Core Curriculum for WIOA-funded, pre-apprenticeship training in California.
