Builders, Suppliers Continue Support of St. Jude Dream Home Program

U.S. home builders and materials suppliers continue their support of the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway program, which to date has raised more than $155 million for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and awarded 200 lucky families with their dream homes. This year, the program includes more than 30 new homes across the nation. Each year, generous local partners help with the construction and promotion of the program.

For example, in Flower Mound, Texas, Hanson Brick, North America’s largest brick manufacturer, is donating approximately 19,000 Winslow brick to the 2009 St. Jude Dream Home there, which is valued at approximately $439,000. Graham Hart Home Builder, a renowned builder throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area, is the builder partner on this project. In Springfield, Mo., where the Homebuilder’s Association of Greater Springfield is coordinating construction of the Dream Home, ProSpec, Bonsal American’s brand of professionally specified products, recently donated tile installation materials through Unique Tile, one of the company's distributors in that area.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Founded by late entertainer Danny Thomas and based in Memphis, Tenn., St. Jude freely shares its discoveries with scientific and medical communities around the world. No family ever pays for treatments not covered by insurance, and families without insurance are never asked to pay. St. Jude is financially supported by ALSAC, its fundraising organization.

Eligible contestants in the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway must reserve a $100 ticket in their local area for a chance to win. Other prizes, such as jewelry, shopping sprees, automobiles and groceries are available as well. For more information about participating in a St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway in your area, contact dreamhome@stjude.org. Please provide your city and state of residence.
