MiTek Industries Inc., a supplier of engineered products, software and systems to the construction industry and subsidiary of Berkshire-Hathaway Inc., announced that its Hohmann & Barnard Inc. subsidiary has completed the purchase of the assets of Astoria, N.Y.-based RKL Building Specialties Co.

Hohmann & Barnard Inc. (H&B) is a manufacturer of reinforcing products, anchoring and flashing systems, vapor barriers and restoration products for masonry construction. RKL manufactures and distributes custom stone and masonry anchors and accessories throughout the Northeast, with an especially strong presence in the New York City market.
