Oct. 23-25 National Conference to Highlight 3-D Rendering Software and New Products

Belgard BoothBelgard® Hardscapes takes a new approach in booth design at the 2013 Hardscape North America (HNA) Show October 23-25 in Louisville, Ky., featuring its 3-D design software in a movie theater-style setting.

"The 2013 HNA show will give attendees a better look at the rendering capabilities of the Belgard Design Studio," said Ken O'Neill, senior vice president of marketing for Belgard Hardscapes. "With the exponential improvements in technology, the 3-D renderings produced by the Design Studio provide contractors with a sales tool to help homeowners envision how hardscapes will look in their own outdoor space."

Attendees will see the winning designs of the 2013 Belgard HNA Design Challenge contest. This year's nationwide design challenge drew innovative entries from all over the country. Belgard selected four winners with the best design that utilized Belgard products in the following categories: Patio, Outdoor Kitchen, Driveway, and Pool Deck. These 2-D entries will be turned into 3-D renderings for a video presentation at the Belgard booth space #1216, which will be transformed into a movie theater for the HNA show.

In keeping with the movie theater theme, new products will be introduced through "Coming Soon" movie posters hung around the theater. New products include: Mega-Libre™, Moduline Series™, and Mega-Tandem™.

Mega-Libre is produced to look exactly like natural cut flagstone. Designed for walkways, patios and plazas, Mega-Libre has a consistent thickness and is lighter and more flexible than natural stone, making it quicker and easier to install. The irregularity of the edges plus the ability to start at a 90-degree angle provides the option for a natural looking edge without cutting. With more square footage per stone and fewer installation trips, installers can save both time and money, Belgard claims.

The Moduline Series was developed "to create the ultimate in design versatility." All units are based on Imperial 3-inch dimensional increments and have a raster/footprint that is exactly specified, allowing all pieces to fit together as intended, while various aesthetic elements, including colors and textures, are available to create unique accents, highlights and borders.

The Mega-Tandem Mass Retaining Wall™ is a versatile wall block system with the natural look of stone whose size and mechanical structure allow for building reinforced walls up to 15-feet high and gravity walls up to 10 feet without reinforcing. Available in three color blends, Mega-Tandem comes in 12 different facial textures with the classic look of natural chiseled stone.
