Ted Corvey was recently honored as BIA Volunteer of the Year.
Ted Corvey, vice president of sales and marketing for Pine Hall Brick Co., the largest manufacturer of clay brick pavers in the United States, was recently honored as Volunteer of the Year by the Brick Industry Association (BIA), a national brick industry trade group.

The award is given every year to an employee of a member company who has made diligent contributions of talent and time in advancing the strategic initiatives of the brick industry.

The award was presented at the recent 2012 Forum for Brick Distributors in Greensboro, NC. Corvey thanked BIA for the recognition.

"It is sometimes difficult for me to express how much I love what I do and the industry I am in, but you can tell that it runs deep," said Corvey. "So, it is not hard for me to give back to the industry. I can tell you that this award means a great deal to me and I will be forever grateful for this kind gesture."

Later, Corvey remarked that he is excited to be a part of the brick
industry in today's world.

"We have the opportunity today to be a part of sustainable, green and LEED-certified construction and landscaping," said Corvey. "Brick has always been a good choice and with our current, and entirely appropriate, focus on the environment, it's a conscientious choice, as well."

Corvey was recognized for his work on the BIA Marketing Committee and activities related to clay brick paving.
