Tom C Vacala (Preacher)

Tom Vacala began his construction career nearly four decades ago as an ambitious young bricklayer with a clear goal: to build a successful career in the masonry industry. Over the years, Tom has forged an extensive career as a brick mason, holding nearly every position on his way to the top. From the start, Tom aimed for management and worked his way up through the ranks, eventually earning the title of Vice President of Operations at Restore Masonry in Chicago, Illinois.
Before becoming VPO, Tom served for many years as a General Project Manager at Restore Masonry. In this role, he supervised job progress, acquired materials, mobilized equipment, managed crews, and developed job schedules, all while monitoring the bottom line and tracking project success. This experience as a PM made innovation and success second nature to him. His ability to stay ahead of the curve in new construction technologies and services has been a significant asset throughout his nearly 40-year career in the industry.
Tom is currently responsible for managing over 100 employees and oversees between $10 to $30 million in construction projects annually. With each new project, Tom strives for continuous improvement, enhancing his ability to manage projects for the next generation of owners, architects, and general contractors.
In addition to his role at Restore Masonry, Tom has been a key part of developing a Foreman Training class for the Mason Contractors Association of America. He has successfully taught this class for over three years in more than 10 states.
