KGA Studio Architects Announce New Partners

Words: Bronzella Cleveland

KGA Studio Architects (formerly Knudson Gloss Architects), a Colorado-based residential architectural design firm, announce Jennifer Williams and John Guilliams will join Jerry Gloss and Paul Mahony as partners.

With the addition of Williams and Guilliams as partners, KGA says it is taking another step toward the future. “They are both greatly admired for their unique achievements,” said Paul Mahony, principal of KGA. “John possesses outstanding design skills and extraordinary relationships with his clients.”

Williams recently spent 6+ years as publisher of Colorado Homes & Lifestyles magazine, managing their operations and growing the publication’s profit in difficult economic times. Now, after spending 15 years in marketing and sales for luxury home design media, she will be combining her passion for design with her extensive expertise in operations management. Williams utilizes her fluency in marketing to represent the firm while bringing a sophisticated system of operations management, says KGA. Principal Jerry Gloss says of Jennifer, “She is a powerhouse of ideas and creative solutions; we are fortunate to have her managing our team.”

Being a long time resident of Denver’s urban neighborhoods, Jennifer has a sensitivity for responsible design and is an advocate for designing with restoration and preservation in mind.

For 30 years, Guilliams has worked in residential architecture, both in Colorado and his home state of Florida. He joined KGA in 2011 as director of design and now as partner will head KGA’s award-winning Production Design Studio alongside Gloss.

Throughout his career, Guilliams has used his talents to serve his community through his work with Habitat for Humanity, and he has applied his knowledge of design to incorporate custom elements into affordable housing for clients such as the Brighton Housing Authority.

Having worked in some of Colorado’s most reputable design firms specializing in multi-family, land planning and residential architecture, Guilliams’ background is diverse. His experience and technical knowledge allow KGA to further their existing projects within the dynamic arena of Urban Infill.
